The General Investment Authority participated in a panel discussion at the Wathba Business Accelerator Demo Day, themed “Startups: From Launch to Growth and Expansion – The Needs of Each Stage.” The event was organized by Ruwwad Foundation in partnership with Deep Root Consulting and funded by the European Union Delegation to Yemen and the Hayel Saeed Anam Group (HAS Group).
The session provided a practical framework reflecting the realities of companies in the market, enhancing their strategies for sustainable growth and achieving tangible expansion opportunities. During the event, nine startups participating in the Wathba Business Accelerator Demo Day presented their pitches to investors and entrepreneurship experts, showcasing their readiness for growth, business models, and future expansion plans.
These presentations are part of a comprehensive journey within the Wathba Business Accelerator program. After receiving specialized mentorship and continuous practical support, the startups were able to offer clear insights to investors, build strategic partnerships, and explore available growth opportunities.
The event also served as a genuine platform for innovation, creativity, and entrepreneurship, allowing investors to learn about the potential of promising companies and future investment opportunities. It underscored the role of the “Wathba” business accelerator in fostering an entrepreneurial environment and driving economic growth in Yemen.
The event was held on November 26, 2025, at the Coral Hall, and featured a number of experts and consultants who discussed the challenges and opportunities facing startups in their growth and expansion phases.
