BC EXPO Exhibition Opening (May 22) Indoor Hall

With high-level Ministerial participation and a distinguished presence of senior figures, alongside notable official and public engagement from various sectors, His Excellency the Minister of Industry and Trade, Mr. Mohammed Al-Ashwal, in the presence of His Excellency Mr. Nayef Al-Bakri, Minister of Youth and Sports, inaugurated the first edition of the Business Club Companies Exhibition (BC EXPO). The event is being held at the Indoor Hall of May 22 Stadium in the capital, Aden, from August 4 to 6, 2025, with the participation of 33 companies affiliated with the Business Club in Aden, including a number of women entrepreneurs.

Following the inauguration, Their Excellencies the Ministers conducted an inspection tour of the exhibition, accompanied by Mr. Ali Atif, Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade, Mr. Ali Garhoum, Chairman of the General Investment Authority, and Mr. Abu Bakr Baobeid, Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Aden.

In his remarks, Minister Al-Ashwal expressed his best wishes for the success of the exhibition, emphasizing its importance as a step towards a brighter future in 2025—one that, God willing, will usher in hopes for lasting peace.

He further underscored the pivotal role of the private sector in partnership with the public sector across all aspects of economic development, noting that the private sector is a fundamental partner in the development process. He called on investors abroad to return to Aden and seize investment opportunities, affirming that the city offers a secure and fertile environment for business.

He also highlighted the significance of organizing the exhibition in line with ongoing government efforts to stabilize the national currency.

For his part, Mr. Ali Al-Habshi, Chairman of the Business Club in Aden, stated in his address that the exhibition serves as a strategic economic platform, featuring more than 33 companies from various sectors, in addition to over 30 projects led by productive families supported by the Club. He reaffirmed the Club’s commitment to fostering entrepreneurship and enhancing the role of women in business.

He further indicated that the exhibition includes a diverse agenda of accompanying events and activities, ranging from panel discussions to presentations on the Club’s achievements and initiatives.

Mr. Al-Habshi also emphasized the urgent need to establish a legal framework that supports and regulates partnerships between the public and private sectors.

The opening day of the exhibition witnessed a high turnout of visitors, who praised the event’s organization, the quality of the exhibits, and the exclusive offerings on display.
